First Time Users

First-Time Login for active employees and those who terminated employment after Jan. 1, 2010: Your User ID is your 8-digit WIN, and your web Passcode is your date of birth in "MMDDCCYY" format. Example: If your birth date is May 25, 1972, your Passcode would be 05251972 (MMDDCCYY).

For automated phone services your Interactive Voice Response (IVR) PIN is your date of birth in "MMDDYY" format. Example: If your birth date is May 25, 1972, your Passcode would be 052572 (MMDDYY).

To locate your WIN:

If ACTIVE -

From the SYNC portal:

• Go to myCareer
• Sign in using your Merck User Name and Password
• Go to the Home menu at the top left corner of the screen
• Select Employee Profile from the drop-down menu
• Your WIN number will be the third item in the Personal Information section

If you no longer have the mailing, please call the Merck Retirement Center at 866-201-2825 to request that a USER ID be mailed to you. Your initial web Passcode is your date of birth in "MMDDCCYY" format. Example: If your birth date is May 25, 1972, your Passcode would be 05251972 (MMDDCCYY).

After your initial login, your User ID and Passcode will be the one you created during your first-time login.
